‘Jojo’ Ghazali to star in upcoming c’ship event

KUCHING: Rentap Fighting Championship (RFC) is preparing to host its third event on November 18 at the Sungai Apong Basketball Court here, featuring a meet and greet with Johan ‘Jojo’ Ghazali on the same day.

In a press statement yesterday, RFC, an international full-contact Muay Thai event, was announced which will include amateur, semi-pro, and pro bouts, showcasing all levels of Muay Thai, with athletes of all ages, both male and female compete.

“With the sport’s growing popularity, especially due to local ONE Championship Fighter Johan Ghazali’s rising influence, we are confident that this competition will attract a wide audience. Our aim is to showcase the beauty of Sarawak culture alongside Muay Thai. The event will feature athletes from the USA, Lebanon, Cambodia, Thailand, Indonesia, and Brunei, as well as from West Malaysia, Sarawak, and Sabah,” the statement said.

The championship will also host a Super Pro International Night event, featuring local superstars and ONE Championship Fighters Elias Ghazali and Kabilan Jelevan, who will compete against top international fighters.

Additionally, RFC proudly announces its partnership with Satumarin Sdn Bhd as its main sponsor, Infightstyle as its equipment and apparel sponsor, and expresses gratitude to the Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industry, and Performing Arts Sarawak for their support.

“RFC is collaborating with ERA FM as its official radio partner, Greenleaf and Three Tea as the official F&B sponsors, Teddy Medical Clinic as the official medical team, and Lim Seng Lim for sponsoring our main event at night.

“Approved by the Minister of Youth and Sports Malaysia and sanctioned by the Sarawak Muaythai and Malaysia Muaythai Association, RFC is excited to announce two lucky draws with the purchase of every entrance ticket. Hamel Tinting will offer a Car Tinting (Gold Series) cash voucher worth RM1199, and GHC will offer a Modenas Kriss MR3 motorbike,” the statement added.

The response to date has been positive, with tickets and tables selling fast. The event is family-friendly, with activities for all ages.
