Journalists to give blood on May 29 to help Miri Hospital

MIRI: The Northern Sarawak Journalists Association (NSJA) will hold a blood donation campaign in conjunction with National Journalists Day for Miri Hospital’s blood bank.

According to Federation of Sarawak Journalists Association (FSJA) and NSJA president Andy Jong Wan Joon, the blood drive would be held on the first floor of Training Institute Malaysian Red Crescent (MRC) Miri Chapter on May 29 (Sunday) from 8.30am to 1pm.

“The campaign is a collaboration with Miri Hospital’s blood bank and MRC Miri Chapter.

“During the holidays, the demand for blood goes up, and the blood bank needs sufficient supply to meet this.”

He also urged the public to continue donating blood to help those in need.

Jong was met on Tuesday (May 17) after paying a courtesy call on co-sponsor Regal Marketing & Trading Sdn Bhd area manager Goh Teck Lim.
Regal Marketing &Trading Sdn Bhd is donating Indocafe products.

Every successful donor will receive a T-shirt, a packet of rice, goody bag and face masks.
