Julau district is now red

KUCHING: Julau district has turned red after recording a total of 72 local Covid-19 infection cases in the last two weeks.

Meanwhile, the Simunjan district is now yellow after recording 20 local infection cases in the past 14 days.

The State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) announced that as of today (June 15), the state had 30 red districts, two orange  districts and eight yellow districts.

It also announced the enforcement of the enhanced movement control order (EMCO) at four places in the state.

“Rumah Setinggan Sebatang Kelapa in Bintulu was put under the EMCO since June 14 until June 27.

“The EMCO at two villages in Kuching, namely Kampung Muara Tebas, and Kampung Goebilt will start from June 16 to June 29,” it said.

The committee added the EMCO at Rumah Lasit, Sg Sare in Sarikei would also start tomorrow (June 16) and end on July 2.

It said the EMCO at Kuarters Pekerja Zedtee Plywood in Tatau and Rumah Demong  Li, Batu 8, Jalan Maskat, Labang in Sebauh would start tomorrow until June 22.

SDMC also announced the end of the EMCO at nine places in the state.

The EMCO at Rumah Lingga, Sungai Selangan in Sarikei ended on Monday  while the EMCO at  Kampung Tambirat in Asajaya; Rumah Sli, Ulu Menuan, Batang Rajang in Kapit and three longhouses in Sri Aman, namely Rumah Aling Selepong; Rumah Aji Sungai Ban; and Rumah Jerry Lai, Kampung Siga ended today (June 15).

The EMCO at Rumah Thomas Settian, Skim B, Bintangor in Sarikei and Rumah Seripah, Nanga Bekakap in Pakan will end tomorrow  (June 17) while the EMCO at Rumah Kelambu, Nanga Bekakap in Pakan will end on June 18.
