KUCHING: Jwendy Joshua clinched the title of ‘Champion of Champions’ at the Mr Kuching 2024 Bodybuilding Championships, securing the prestigious Soloman’s Cup trophy and a RM500 cash prize today.

Jwendy, a 36-year-old from Lundu, also won the Men’s Senior Bodybuilding Above 75 kg category earlier in the competition.

He attributed his success to years of relentless training since his debut at Mr Kuching in 2022.

He thanked his wife, family and coach Awang Mohd Azizul Ghani for their constant support.

“My thanks also to the Kuching Division Bodybuilding Association (KDBBA) for providing the platform for us bodybuilders to show what we got, and to my friends and all those who have been supporting me,” he said during the award ceremony at the Sarawak Youth and Sports Complex.

This year’s competition featured 26 competitors from Kuching, Serian and Bau.

The event was organised by KDBBA, in partnership with the Sarawak Bodybuilding Association (SBBA) and supported by the Department of Youth and Sports (JBS) Sarawak.
