LIMBANG: A family of five lost their double-storey house to a fire here at Kampung Labasong yesterday.
The State Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) received a distress call pertaining the 5.26pm incident and despatched firemen from Limbang Fire and Rescue Station to the scene.
Fire operation commander PPGB Clarence D Primus Tiandun reported that the 30×40 square feet house was already 95 percent destroyed, upon their arrival.
“The fire was under control around 6.15pm and no casualties were reported in the incident.
“A family of five managed to get to safety during the incident,” he said in a statement.
As at press time, the extinguishing operation is still being carried out. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
