KUCHING: Residents of Kampung Tabuan Dani here can now breathe a sigh of relief as the construction of a futsal field in the village has been approved.
Demak Laut assemblyman Dr Hazland Abang Hipni said the approval was made after the issue of the site was resolved.
“The allocation to construct a futsal field at Kampung Tabuan Dani was available, but there was an issue with regard to its site.
“This made it difficult to build a futsal field at the village despite having an allocation under the Rural Transformation Project (RTP) programme.
“However, the problem was finally resolved when some villagers endowed land for the construction of the futsal field,” he said when chairing a dialogue session with leaders of Kampung Tabuan Dani on Sunday (Dec 6).
He also said that the construction of the Kampung Tabuan Dani futsal field would be carried out via gotong royong (communal work) by the villagers and supervised by the Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) according to the set specifications.
Aside from that, Dr Hazland explained in detail about the new housing project located at Muara Tabuan.
“Residents of Kampung Tabuan Dani and the surrounding area can check the names of those who have applied for a house in the new housing area at Muara Tabuan with staff at the Demak Laut Service Centre,” he said.
He said this was to ensure that no name was left out in the housing application which is specified to every household living in Kampung Tabuan. “For those who have not applied, the application is always open. For documents required, one can contact the Demak Laut Service Centre or message 017-8585007 for any further enquiries,” he said.
