KAPIT: Kapit Chinese Women Association (CWA) held a gathering last Sunday to celebrate its 20th anniversary.

Speaking at the function, Bukit Goram assemblyman Jefferson Jamit Unyat congratulated the association for remaining relevant.

“The association serves to unite the Chinese women under one platform. I am happy that you are doing well, looking after the welfare of members and also providing cash incentives to members’ children who did well in their studies,” said Jamit.

He pointed out that the cash incentive was one of the ways to encourage the younger generation to study hard to pursue quality education.

“Living in this modernised world, we face various challenges, hence quality education is the way forward for our young generation to excel in future. Kapit needs quality human resources to develop,” he added.

He also called on Kapit folk to give him their support. “When you give me your strong support, I can plan for more developments to be implemented here to benefit all.”
