KAPIT : Two Chinese based non-governmental organisations (NGO) here had donated a unit of air-conditioner and two units ceiling fan and a projector to Kapit Hospital.

Those two bodies are Kapit Che Quan Khor Moral Uplifting Society and Tai Pek Kong Hock Leong Ten Temple.

Responding to the appeal for better environment and comfort at the Maternity Ward, Kapit Che Quan Khor Moral Uplifting Society donated a unit of air-conditioner that will be installed at the ward for the benefit of the expectant mothers waiting for delivery and also the staff.

Bukit Goram assemblyman Jefferson Jamit Unyat was invited to officiate at the handing over of the air-conditioner to the Assistant Director of Kapit Hospital, Dr Francis Lee.

Present at the simple handing over ceremony were several community leaders and heads of associations. Also present were   Ambrose Abong, the Special Affairs Officer to the Deputy Minister of Rural and Regional Development, Datuk Alexander Nanta Linggi and chairman SADIA Kapit, Edward Manggah.

Jamit Unyat was also invited to officiate at the handing over of two units of ceiling fans and one projector donated by Tai Pek Kong Hock Leong Ten Temple to the Kapit Health Clinic. The items were received by the Family Doctor, Dr Mohd Faizal in the presence of the Chairman and committee members of the temple and also the staff of the clinic.
