
MIRI: The winners of the upcoming Kenyalang Journalism Awards (KJA) will receive a call from organiser Federation Sarawak Journalist Association (FSJA) this week.
Its president Andy Jong Wan Jon said winners attending the awards ceremony must confirm their attendance by Nov 27.
In the meantime, Deputy Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts, Datuk Sebastian Ting Chiew Yew donated RM10,000 to FSJA for the upcoming ceremony, scheduled to be held next month.
The donation was handed over by Ting himself to Jong, witnessed by his secretary Michelle Choo at Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Piasau service centre.
At the same time, Jong also handed over the invitation letter to Ting to attend the ceremony.
He said Ting’s donation would be used for the KJA 2022 organisation, which will be held on Dec 9 at Imperial Hotel.
