KUCHING: Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) goes nostalgic this Ramadan with ‘KFC Nasi Kari Atuk’, a mouth-watering new menu which evokes a feeling of familiarity with its classic local taste.

Kari Atuk is a rich and savoury curry made from a blend of traditional curry spices and coconut milk, with potato chunks.

True to Malaysians taste preference, this meal is also served with spicy Sambal Atuk — concocted from a special anchovy-chili paste which pairs well with the curry.

KFC Malaysia chief marketing officer Angelina Villanueva said Malaysians will be experiencing a new and different way of observing Ramadan this year.

“We hope that the familiar taste of Nasi Kari Atuk will bring some joy and comfort as you break-fast.

“For greater ease and convenience, order online for delivery or self-collect where you can select date and time or pre-order in advance for breaking fast,” she said.

The price of Nasi Kari Atuk starts from RM16.30 and is available for self-collect, take-away, drive-thru, and delivery starting from April 30.

KFC encouraged its customers to choose its ‘contactless delivery’ to get orders sent straight to their homes, or ‘contactless self-collect’ for take-away orders, for an extra safe contact-free service.

On the movement control order (MCO) period, the last order will be at 7pm and timings may vary depending on respective state regulations. To avoid disappointment, customers are advised to check KFC’s operational hours online.
