KLCI futures ends firmer

KUALA LUMPUR: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract (FKLI) on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended the half-day trading higher today, in sync with the underlying cash market.

Spot month February 2021, March 2021 June 2021 all gained 2.5 points at 1,598, 1,589 and 1,585.5, respectively, while September 2021 climbed 3.5 points to 1,576.5.

Turnover stood at 2,771 lots, with open interest at 37,813 contracts.

At the close, the benchmark FBM KLCI stood at 1,559.42.

Bursa Malaysia had traded half-day today — the eve of the Chinese New Year (CNY) — and will be closed for the CNY on Friday.

Bursa Malaysia and all its subsidiaries will resume operations on Feb 15. – Bernama
