KUCHING: Koperasi Koperkasa Sarawak Berhad (Koperkasa) has declared a total payout dividend of 12.65 percent to the tune of RM5,598.353 for 2019.
Its chairman Fathi Hambali said the dividend distribution had been duly approved by Cooperative Commission Malaysia on May 12.
He said the payout for shares capital was recorded at seven per cent amounting to RM2.4 mil; while the monthly recurring deposit (MRD) was 4.15 percent for a total of RM2.9 mil and; interest on personal savings at 1.5 percent with a total value of up to RM2.3 mil.
For the financial year ending Dec 31 last year, Fathi said in a statement yesterday that Koperkasa recorded a net profit to the tune of RM10.2 mil compared to RM7.3 mil in 2018.
He said the dividend declaration involved some 25,000 members throughout Sarawak, adding payment of dividends and interests for individual savings could be made at the nearest Koperkasa office at any time before June 10.
On a separate development, Fathi encouraged all Koperkasa members to register their accounts on myKoperkasa portal.
Through the portal, he said, members would also be able make dividend withdrawals and also update their banking details effective June 3.
