KUCHING: Koperasi Koperkasa Sarawak Bhd, a cooperative for government workers in the state, targets to be among the top ten cooperatives in Malaysia.

Its newly minted chairman Fathi Hambali said the cooperative was transparent in its annual revenue and dividend payout, and with that it is a trusted cooperative.

“We have the Malaysian Cooperatives Commission (SKM) to monitor our administration which is very important so that we can carry our work smoothly and comply with the standard operating procedure (SOP),” he said during the cooperative’s 70th anniversary dinner at a local hotel last Saturday night.

To be in the top ten, Fathi urged the cooperative to continue practising integrity in its operation.
