Kota Bharu delegation visits Kuching Sarawak Polytechnic

KUCHING: Six staff members of Kota Bharu Polytechnic (PKB) recently paid a visit to Kuching Sarawak Polytechnic (PKS) to foster greater collaboration in the field of research and innovation.

The visit was led by Research, Innovation, and Commercial Unit Manager Dr Tengku Ahmad Badrul Shah Raja Hussin.

“The purpose of the visit was to share knowledge and best practices in research, innovation, and commercial activities with the PKS Research, Innovation and Commercial Unit.

“In this regard, the visit is expected to add more ideas and exchange experiences in research, innovation and commercialisation between the two institutions,” Kota Bharu Polytechnic said in a statement released on Tuesday (Nov 9).

In his welcome speech, PKS Director Hikmatullah Hajid Ahmad Khan stated that the visit by PKB to PKS was greatly appreciated.

He added that PKS was a Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institution with expertise that could be utilised to benefit the general public through knowledge transfer programmes.

Also present during the visit were PKS Deputy Director (Academic) Samsudin Mohd Salleh and Head of PKS Research, Innovation, and Commercial Unit Dr Muhd Nazmi Ismail.
