KUCHING: Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Kota Sentosa branch chairman Wilfred Yap has appealed to Stampin MP and Kota Sentosa assemblyman Chong Chieng Jen to assist in applying for and securing development funds from both the state and federal governments.

He said these funds are for upgrading infrastructures for the benefit of the Kota Sentosa community, which is also within the Stampin parliamentary constituency.

Yap, who is also SUPP Public Complaints Bureau (PCB) chief, said he has recently inspected and monitored upgrading works at 7th Mile Main Bazaar, Jalan Liu Shan Bang by a contractor of the Padawan Municipal Council.

“The total cost of the upgrading works is RM166,000,” he said today (May 4).

He assured that he would continue to serve as the voice of the people living in Kota Sentosa and would do his best to fight for more development funding for the benefit of the business community and residents in the area.
