SARATOK: Support for the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) will be translated to development which the Krian state constituency here has been missing out on for the last ten years.

Friday Belik, a prospective Progressive Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the 12th state election said it was therefore important for voters to chart a new direction.

“Krian state constituency has not been in the same boat with the Sarawak government for 10 years — it has caused us to be less developed and the people to suffer.

“Allocation for projects under the rural transformation programme (RTP) is only given to GPS elected representatives, which is why we here are not enjoying it (development).

“Therefore, I urge all residents under the Krian state constituency to give their full support to GPS so that we will also be able to enjoy the projects implemented by the state government.

“Together we can chart a new political direction,” stressed the PDP/GPS candidate, adding election preparations in the constituency are already in the final stages.
