KUCHING: Krian assemblyman Friday Belik has handed over Minor Rural Project (MRP) grant worth RM15,000 to Kelab Raban Iban Seblak (KRIS).

Speaking during the handover ceremony held recently, he said KRIS as a non-government organisation is called to hold motivational talks for rural students, especially in Saratok.

“With KRIS existing contacts, they can bring qualified speakers to give motivational talks to improve the academic performance of the students in the rural areas,” he said in a Facebook post.

Also present at the ceremony were KRIS chairman Harold Unsie and chief registrar of Native Court Sarawak and KRIS advisor, Datuk Michael Dawie Alli.
