KUCHING: This district has been declared a Covid-19 yellow zone while Lawas has reverted to green after recording 18 and zero locally transmitted cases respectively in the last 14 days.

As for Miri, it remains a Covid-19 yellow zone, said the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC).

SDMC said there were zero cases of Covid-19 recorded in the state today, so the cumulative total remained at 1,062 cases.

“There were also no additional cases to the six existing active clusters in Sarawak, and there are three newly recovered and discharged cases from Sarawak General Hospital (SGH).

“These bring the cumulative total of recovered and discharged cases to 1,018 or 95.86 percent,” it said in a statement today.

The committee added that 22 patients are currently receiving treatment at isolation wards in hospitals throughout Sarawak, namely, 22 at SGH, two in Sibu Hospital and one in Miri Hospital.

SDMC said a total of 17 new persons-under-investigation (PUIs) were reported while one PUI is currently awaiting laboratory test results.
