KUCHING: The Kuching China Trade Importers and Exporters Association (KCTIEA) will be attending the 135th China Guangzhou Spring Trade Fair, a globally recognised event, from April 15 to May 5.

According to a statement on Wednesday (March 6), this renowned trade fair attracts thousands of business professionals from across the globe, contributing significantly to global economic growth and trade.

Led by KCTIEA commercial director Dennis Tan Hock Beng and advised by chairman Datuk Yii Ming Tang, the delegation aims to explore lucrative trade opportunities at the Spring Canton Fair.

“Known as China’s No. 1 Exhibition, the China Guangzhou Spring and Autumn Trade Fair has been a hallmark event for 60 years, showcasing a wide array of merchandise across various sectors.

“Divided into three sessions, the fair covers industries ranging from machinery and equipment to textiles, fashion, and consumer goods.

“The first session, running from April 15 to 19, will feature large machinery, auto parts, consumer electronics, and construction materials.

“The second session, scheduled from April 23 to 27, will spotlight home decorations, furniture, kitchenware, and personal care appliances.

“Finally, the third session, taking place from May 1st to 5th, will showcase fashion, textiles, food products, and medical equipment,” KCTIEA said.

Established in 1976, KCTIEA has been fostering friendly economic and trade exchanges with China, with a particular focus on organising visits to the Canton Fair.

The association’s annual participation has significantly contributed to enhancing economic ties between Sarawak and China.
