Kuching FA signs MoU with South Korea

KUCHING: The Kuching Football Association (FA) will be signing two Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) with Suwon FC and Ji Sung ( J.S) Foundation. The MoU with Suwon FC will signify a training collaboration both in Kuching and in South Korea.

Vice President of Kuching District Football Association (KDFA) , Fazzrudin Abdul Rahman said that the training session will initiate next year. “During their off season, Suwon FC will coming to Kuching to train while at the same time, the Kuching FA as well as the state team will be training together with them.

It is during these sessions that these three teams will exchange their experiences as well as learning new techniques from Suwon FC. “After all that, there might be a small friendly competition between these three teams,” said Fazzrudin who is also Tupong Assemblyman in a press conference on Wednesday at Stadium Sarawak.

On another note, he said the MoU with J.S Foundation will be an opening for the state to send young football teams to participate in the annual Ji Sung Cup. “As you all may know, the J.S Footbal l Academy and Foundation main focus is on the development of footballers from an early age as eight years old.

“Next year, we will be sending footballers to participate in the Ji Sung Cup and prior to the Cup, these participants will also have a short training in Suwon, South Korea. We are finalizing more things in the future, but this is what the MoU will bring about,” he stressed.
