KUCHING: The 5th edition of Kuching Free Map (KFM) is now available to the public.

Published by Donald & Marina Tan of Desiree Design International, an associate company of Singgahsana Lodge Adventures Sdn Bhd, the map will also have its inaugural edition in Mandarin.

KFM has been an instrumental destination promotional tool for the Sarawak tourism industry since 2015 and is well-liked by visitors and tourists.

Tourism, Arts, Culture, Youth and Sports Ministry (MTACYS) permanent secretary Hii Chang Kee recently received stocks of the map from the publisher.

“Sarawak Tourism Board (STB) and MTACYS are proud to support this very commendable effort from a private sector agency in promoting our beautiful city of Kuching,” he said, adding that it would be useful for visitors’ easy reference to move around the city.

KFM will be made available at the Kuching International Airport Information Counter, Visitor Information Centre Kuching, Sarawak Cultural Village and popular tourists’ attractions throughout the city.

Hii congratulated the publisher for consistently improving the quality and usability of the map including updates on places of interests, adding that it served as a good marketing tool for trade shows, fairs and expos.

“With the attractive sketches and artistic touches, KFM not only serves as a useful guide but also as an attractive souvenir for visitors,” he added.
