KUCHING: Deputy Minister of Youth, Sports, and Entrepreneur Development Datuk Gerald Rentap Jabu has extended a warm invitation to bowling players from other states to train at Megalanes here.
Speaking at the Sarawak Hornbill Team Cup 2023 Prize Presentation Ceremony held at Megalanes Emart Batu Kawa today (July 8), Rentap said that Megalanes has excellent facilities to accommodate all bowlers.
Rentap added that his Ministry’s and the Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry, and Performing Arts’ are interested in hosting tournaments in the state due to the positive impact on sports and tourism.
During the ceremony, Rentap commended the participation of over 30 teams in the tournament and enhancing the competitiveness of bowling. He also congratulated the winners for winning the tournament and receiving a total prize money of RM60,000.
