KUCHING: The district police headquarters (IPD) here will continue to provide the best service to the community and the country in line with the slogan ‘Perkhidmatan Diterima dan Dirasai’ (Service Received and Appreciated).

Kuching OCPD ACP Ahsmon Bajah said the role of the police during the endemic transition phase remained the same as other enforcement agencies, to ensure the state government’s efforts to curb the spread of Covid-19 are achieved.

“We will continue to implement and enforce the existing standard operating procedures (SOPs) so that the spread among the community can be curbed as best as possible.

“For a wider scope, we will provide the best service to the target so that they receive the service they deserved,” he said when met by the media after the 215th Police Day celebration at Kuching IPD on Friday (March 25).

ACP Ahsmon also had the opportunity to deliver a message from Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani to all police personnel and staff present during the event.

He said based on the ‘Polis dan Masyarakat Berpisah Tiada’ theme, police were always ready to shoulder the responsibility to ensure peace in the country.

Meanwhile, ACP Ahsmon also presented certificates of appreciation to a total of 25 officers as well as tokens of appreciation to five retired officers.
