KUCHING: Want something different? Want to listen to Sarawak dialects? Just tune in to frequency 92.5 for KUPIKUPI FM Sarawak and you will be served a unique experience.

Its programme manager Gideon Jute said the radio station that will be inaugurated on June 9 at his office in I-Com Square Kuching has five segments that focus on the needs of the community.

“We have five segments which are Sekoh Pagi breakfast segment from 6am to 10am, 10am to 1pm ‘Rona Roni’ segment, 1pm to 4pm Kacak Tipot, 4pm to 8pm Kupi Jem segment, and 8pm to 12 midnight Jungo Krem,” he said.

He said this in a interview with New Sarawak Tribune’s sister paper, Suara Sarawak here recently.

Gideon added that  KUPIKUPI FM aims to give exposure to the efforts made by local children in jobs that inspire others.

“Our society always has its own stigma against certain jobs. Therefore, KUPIKUPI FM wants to change this thinking because every job contributes to the community, it’s just that they may be less exposed to the outside community,” he said.
