KUCHING: A customer service staff member of the Kuching Water Board (KWB) tested positive for Covid-19 on Thursday evening.

In a statement, KWB said the staff member’s last entry to KWB was on Monday, Jan 25.

“KWB will close its customer service and payment counter with immediate effect for two weeks from Jan 29 until Feb 12.

“The batch of colleagues identified by the Health Ministry (MoH) as close contacts to the infected staff member have been advised to do home quarantine and arrange to undergo Covid-19 testing,” said the statement today.

As a precautionary measure, KWB sanitised its entire premises at Jalan Batu Lintang on Thursday evening.

“Rest assured we will strictly adhere to the standard operating procedure (SOP) issued by the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC),” it said.
