KUCHING: Land Custody and Development Authority (LCDA) distributed aid to ease the burdens of flood victims recently.

According to senior manager of Corporate Affairs Saiful Bahari Amra Ramly, this is part of the LCDA’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme.

“A total of 12 villagers received cash donation which were handed over to the ketua kampung (village head) for the purpose of purchasing dry food and beverages to be distributed to the victims,” said Saiful Bahari.

The donation presentation session was held at the compound of Masjid Darul Hana which was also witnessed by Penghulu Sidek Sitam and Penghulu Lahan Sabu.

“The aid delivery this time is different because it is necessary for all of us to comply with the standard operating procedure (SOP) to avoid the risk of transmission of Covid-19,” he added.

Previously, the LCDA also distributed food packs to 36 families placed at the Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Matu Baru Temporary Placement Centre (PPS).
