KUCHING: A car which was parked in front of a shophouse at Lorong 4 Batu Kawa was destroyed by fire last night.
According to the state Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) spokesperson, the incident, which did not result in any casualties, happened around 11.25pm.
“Firemen from Batu Lintang station were promptly despatched to the scene after receiving a distress call.
“Upon arriving, they discovered that the car was already on fire, and extinguishing works commenced right away,” it said.
The whole operation wrapped up at 12.05am and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
