KUCHING: SAC Abdul Latiff bin Yunus is the new commanding officer of the Kuching Police Training Centre (Pulapol) after a handing over of duties ceremony at the centre today morning.

Latiff started off in Pulapol KL in 1980 and since then, has served as an investigating officer in the Criminal Investigation Department, legal lecturer, internal medicine staff officer, service/personnel staff officer, Bukit Sentosa Pulapol

Commander, Pulapol Kuala Lumpur deputy commander and head of Management Department at the Sarawak Contingent police Headquarters, Jalan Badruddin here.

Abdul Latiff has also served under the United Nations Protection Force (UNPROFOR) in Angola, Africa in 1997 and as the director of the University of Putra Malaysia’s security team. Among the states he has served are Kelantan, Selangor, Selangor and Kedah.

Latiff is the 16th commanding officer of Pulapol Kuching.

The handing over of duties from commander-in-chief of Pulapol Kuching Supt Munsang anak Sabai to Latiff was witnessed by the commander of the Kuala Lumpur Police Force Kuala Lumpur DCP Dato Yong Lei Choo.
