Lea Group donates footwear to medical frontliners

KUCHING: Lea Group of Companies has donated 2,400 pairs of footwear to frontline medical staff.

According to Lea Group, the contribution was made after taking into account the frontliners who had put their lives at risk to save lives.

It said 1,200 pairs of footwear are for men and another 1,200 pairs for women.

“Lea Group of Companies would like to express our utmost gratitude and appreciation towards our dedicated leaders and members of the Sarawak government, especially State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC), and the Local Government and Housing Ministry on their fast and effective measures on flattening the curve of Covid-19.

“As Sarawakians, we are very proud and sincerely thankful to the authority concerned, to the staff from medical services and members of enforcement team, working day and night fighting, containing, and safeguarding our community from the dreaded disease,” it said in a statement yesterday.

Lea Group hoped the contributions would give comfort to the medical staff who would be wearing the footwear.
