MUKAH: A group of 53 Politeknik Mukah (PMU) lecturers attended a virtual two-day course at the college here recently.

The Outcome Based Education (OBE) course was organised by PMU’s Mechanical Engineering Department in collaboration with the Training and Further Education Unit.

Acting PMU director Mohd Sani Said said the course was aimed at enhancing the level of understanding of participants on the importance of OBE in the teaching and learning process.

It was also aimed at providing systematic information on learning and teaching activities and course assessment.

“Participants will have the opportunity to determine continuous improvement measures which may be considered in the coming semesters,” he said.

The course was conducted by associate professor Dr Che Ghani  Che Kob, from Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) Faculty of Technical and Vocational, who has wide experience in OBE.

PMU Mechanical Engineering Department head Rosidi Muhamad Nor, programme chairperson Haswa-Sofiah Ab Wahab and programme manager Len Annuar Rigo also attended the course.
