MIRI: State Transport Minister Datuk Lee Kim Shin visited several road upgrading projects at Jalan Desa Senadin and Jalan Promin which have been completed recently.

The resurfacing of the road project is part of the Malaysian Road Record Information System (Marris) 2021 programme for the Miri City Council (MCC).

During the visit, Lee said Jalan Maigold is one of the main access roads to Desa Senadin in the form of a dual carriageway, as such the width should be widened.

Lee, who is also the Senadin assemblyman, thus, requested MCC to plan the widening and upgrading of the present dual carriageway to that of a Public Works Department (JKR) standard.

Also present to review the road upgrading projects were engineers of the council.

Among the roads that have been resurfaced included  Jalan Maigold covering a length of approximately 1,200 metre long. The project costing RM765,000 was completed on April 17.

While the resurfacing road project covers Jalan Promin Jaya 1 A covering a length of  approximately 400 metre long. The project costing RM146,000 was completed on April 1.

For Jalan Promin Jaya 1 B, the resurfacing work covers approximately 200 metre long and has been completed on April 3.

As for the resurfacing work of Jalan Promin Jaya 1B/1 which covers approximately 100 metre long, it was completed on April 5 and cost RM30,000.

For Jalan Promin Jaya 3 A, the resurfacing work covering approximately 250 metre long was completed on April 6 with the project costing RM80,000.

And for the resurfacing work of Jalan Promin Jaya 3A/1 where it covers approximately 100 metre long was completed on April 3, with the project costing at RM29,000.
