MIRI: The minister in charge of Miri Division Disaster Management Committee (DDMC) Datuk Lee Kim Shin recently visited the issuance centre for quarantine release letters (Release Orders) and the cutting of the surveillance bracelets at Miri Outdoor Stadium on Monday (Sept 20).

Lee who is also the Minister of Transport was accompanied by Miri Division Resident Abdul Aziz Mohd Yusuf, Miri Division Health Officer Dr P. Raviwharmman Packierisamy, Miri District Civil Defence Officer Kapten (PA) Usman Harto as well as other dignitaries.

It stated that the release order issuance and surveillance wristband cutting centre began operating on Sunday.

“Individuals who have completed their 10-days quarantine will go to the stadium to collect the release order and cut their surveillance wristbands. This is being done via drive-thru for the public’s convenience.

“It is estimated that more than 300 people use this drive-thru facility so it reduces traffic congestion and provide more comfort for the people.

“However, the public are advised to follow the instructions given by members on duty so that the process will be smooth,”
it said in a statement on Tuesday (Sept 21).

It noted that for any inquiries, the public can contact the Miri Health Office Covid-19 Operations Room at 085-322085.

“The MDDMC also would like to stress on despite how one is already vaccinated, everyone must be vigilant and continue to comply with the Covid-19 prevention standard operating procedure (SOP) by adopting 3W (wash, wear, warn) and avoiding the 3C (avoid closed spaces, crowded places and close-contact settings).

“Everyone’s cooperation in the efforts to prevent the transmission of Covid-19 virus is much appreciated,” it added.
