KUCHING: A Starry Night themed Knowledge Camp was held on Aug 13-14 by the Sarawak State Library (Pustaka) here.

The programme, which was held at its compound in collaboration with Sarawak Family Camping, American Corner and Malaysian Librarian Association (PPM) involved 55 participants from 11 families.

Among the objectives of the programme were to raise the awareness of participants in the service and facilities offered by Pustaka, to give exposure towards the literacy skills of digital inclusivity of knowledge and information, and to also raise awareness on the importance of the culture of knowledge and lifelong learning.

Deputy executive officer (service) of Pustaka, Salina Zawawi hoped that such programmes will continue to be held in the future.
