KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud received a courtesy call from Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Laws), Datuk Liew Vui Keong in the former’s residence at Demak Jaya here on Monday.
The visit was aimed at discussing issues related to the implementation of the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63).
According to Liew, he has been assigned to manage issues related to the return of status of Sabah and Sarawak as enshrined in the MA63.
Liew who is on a working visit to Sarawak has been to the Kuching High Court and Sarawak Federal State Secretary Office.
Also present were Director of Law Affairs Division, Datuk Jalil Marzuki, Polictical Secretary, Martin Tomy, Senior Private Secretary, Datin Rohana and Senator Alan Ling.
