PADAWAN: The body of an unidentified man’s body was found in the bushes at Kampung Selang Laut, Telaga Air, on New Year’s Day.
Padawan police chief Supt Abang Zainal Abidin Abang Ahmad said the police were alerted of the gruesome find around 9.30 pm last night (Jan 1).
The deceased was lying on his back in the bushes and his identity remains unknown as no identification documents were found on him.
“In addition, the victim is believed to have been dead for two days.
“His body was taken to Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) for an autopsy and the case is being classified as sudden death,” he said.
Abang Zainal urged the public to come forward to assist in the investigation if they have lost a family member.
