Lions Club’s esteemed event July 30

SIBU: Lions Club of Sibu Pahlawan here will hold its prestigious’ 24th Installation of new Board Cabinet officers cum Fund Raising Banquet.
This will be held at Kingwood Hotel’s Regalia Ballroom, here on July 30 at 6.30pm.

According to the Club’s president-elect Dr David Ling Sien Ngan, overseas special guests included 2nd Vice District Governor from Manila, Philippines, and the president together with members of the Manila Allied Lions Club will come all the way to attend the event.

He also stated that Lions District 308-A2 Governor and 1st Vice District Governor, sisterhoods from Kota Budaya, Kota Bahru, including cabinets officers and members from Sabah and Sarawak will also converge on Sibu for the occasion.

This was stated by Dr Ling when he led his board members to pay a courtesy call yesterday on Bukit Assek assemblyman Joseph Chieng Jin Ek with the purpose of inviting him to attend the event.

Later he proceeded with his board members to make similar courtesy calls on Sibu Division Chinese community paramount chief Temenggong Datuk Vincent Lau Lee Ming and Past Council Chairperson of Lions Multiple District 308, Cheng Yik Siong, and extended their invitation to attend the function.

Past Lions District 308-A2 Governor Datuk Betty Wong Yieng and the event’s organising chairman Johnnie Ling were also present.
