KABONG: The Sarawak United Youth Organisation (Saberkas) should listen to the aspirations of every youth to ensure it remains relevant.

Kabong assemblyman Mohd Chee Kadir said this is important to enhance their involvement as well as achievements in various fields.

Saberkas, as the main youth organisation in Sarawak, needs to continue to play its role, he said.

“Our desire is to step up efforts to increase the involvement and achievement of the youth in various fields.

“It is therefore necessary to align with the youth’s wishes to ensure Saberkas remains relevant to young people,” he said during the Kabong Branch Saberkas Carnival at the Kabong Hawker Centre, Saturday night.

He said the objective of the Kabong Branch Saberkas Carnival was achieved, which is to strengthen the relationship between Saberkas leaders and their members and the community in Kabong.

Also in conjunction with this carnival, the Saberkas Kabong Branch took the initiative to launch the Palestine Solidarity Fund with a collection of RM3,007.10, which was handed over to the representatives of the Islamic Religious Office of Betong Division.
