MIRI: The ‘Wacana Sasterawan’ or Literary Discourse: Tourism Literature & Civil Malaysia will be held on May 19 in conjunction with the 18th Miri City Day celebration.

The event will take place at the State Library, Miri (Pustaka Miri), and is co-organised by Pustaka Miri, Miri City Council (MCC), Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka (DBP) Sarawak, Miri Teachers Institute (IPG), and Northern Sarawak Journalists Association (NSJA).

“A panel of the country’s most prominent literary figures will participate in the discourse to discuss aspects of Malaysia Madani as well as the context of literature and tourism.

The invited panel will be moderated by DBP Sarawak officer Mohamad Faizal Jamil and will include Sabah literarian Sukor Husin (Hasyuda Abadi) and Sarawak literarian Zainal Abidin Suhaili (Abizai).

“We would like to invite the public to further enliven the programme here.”
