KOTA SAMARAHAN: Narcotics police arrested a local man for allegedly abusing and possessing suspected syabu yesterday (May 7).
According to the Kota Samarahan district police headquarters (IPD), the suspect was picked up from a workshop in Sadong Jaya.
Inspections led to the seizure of a straw tube containing 1g of crystalline substance believed to be syabu.
The suspect, who is in his 40s, was taken to Kota Samarahan narcotics office for further action.
Following a urine test, he tested positive for amphetamine and methamphetamine drugs.
The case is being investigated under Section 12(2) and Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
Police advised the public to report any information related to drugs in their area through the Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department (NCID) hotline at 012-2087222.
