KUCHING: Sinisana Technologies Sdn Bhd, a Sarawak company co-founded by local entrepreneur Jonah Lau and Gary D’Agustino from the United States of America (USA), is developing a blockchain product called ‘Intersect’ that allows participants in the food supply chain to have a trusted source of food data, traceability and foresight.

Sinisana Technologies has secured a RM2.2 million seed funding from international investors which valued the company at RM8.5 million.

The firm provides food chain solution built on blockchain technology, the first in the country. Currently, the firm is working with leading manufacturers in USA, China and South East  Asia to provide greater food security in the global food supply chain.

The blockchain business, according to studies, will hit the USD10 trillion mark by the year 2030.

Meanwhile, Sarawak Patriots Association (SPA) of which Jonah is a member, is proud to note that Sarawak has the talent and competencies to develop a cutting edge software platform that can serve the needs of the global market.

Jonah is treasurer of SPA while Gary is an American living in Kuching. The duo is looking forward to securing a market share in the blockchain business.
