MUKAH: It has been a busy day for Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) Mukah Branch here yesterday as many customers lined up to collect their Bantuan Prihatin Nasional (BPN) cash aid vouchers.
Seloroh Prasih, a pensioner in his 60’s, was among those in the queue waiting for his turn to enter the bank.
According to him, he had stood in the queue since 8am and still waiting outside the bank by 10.40am.
“There are many people in the queue, on the left and right side of bank’s main entrance,” he told New Sarawak Tribune.
According to one of the three female People’s Volunteer Corps (Rela) personnel assigned to assist the bank, only five customers were allowed to enter the bank at any one time.
She said it took about half an hour for each group of five customers to get their transactions done.
She also claimed only two BSN staffers were dealing with the collection process.
