BINTULU: The village development and security committee (JKKK) of Rumah Ado Bilong in Kakus Tatau has set up a roadblock at the main entrance of the longhouse to prevent outsiders from entering it.

“We have two JKKK members manning the roadblock daily. They will conduct temperature checks on every villager who is passing through,” said Tuai Rumah Ado.

Those flouting the rules would be fined up to RM1,000, she added.

Before a fire in 2008, Rumah Ado had a total of 122 rooms.

Now, the villagers built their houses separately at the same locations.
