SARIKEI: Several longhouses around Muara Payang, Sarikei have received boxes of mineral water.

According to a statement from the Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas), the donation on Monday (July 25) was given by Deputy Minister for Natural Resources and Urban Development Datuk Len Talif Salleh.

Folk in the area had been facing difficulty in getting clean water supply.

The 130 boxes of 1.5ltr mineral water were handed over by the Kuala Rajang Service Centre on behalf of Len.

Thirty-two boxes were given to Rh Jugah, 28 to Rh Sujang, 26 to Rh Muli, and 22 each to Rh Peter Jai and Rh Sumpung.

“It is hoped that the donation will help the residents to some extent until the authorities solve the water supply problem affecting the area.”
