1. The Daily Bread
The Daily Bread started as a bakery stall many years back before the husband and wife team decided to rebrand everything and renamed it as The Daily Bread during the Movement Control Order (MCO) last year.
Instead of going the conservative way, the couple decided to make the business with more “fun”!
“It was last year during the lockdown that we decided to step out by faith to operate a physical store at Galacity to be able to serve our customers better,” the founder Faithlyn Hiew said.
The bakery offers a wide range of products from cakes, breads/buns, pastries, cookies, gift sets, and they are gems of their own.
One great thing about their products was that they love to go the natural “fruity” way and do not use artificial flavouring, including its cakes’ cream.
Their “Raya Gembira” gift sets have three range to choose from:

Consists of their favourite snacks honey cornflakes and spicy tapioca chips

Consists of three tubs of their best favourite every festival, they are Dark Chocolate Almond Oat Cookies, Nestum Cookies, Caramel Almond

2. Goodness Gracious
Goodness Gracious is a partnership between Irastri Sudarsono 32 and Grace Ng 33 – who both came from business/banking backgrounds.
They started the business during MCO in July 2020 as the duo have always been passionate about cooking and baking.
“This has been something our families have encouraged us to do but we both just needed that push from one another and that’s how our partnership came about. We decided to partner up and a month later, Goodness Gracious happened,” Irastri said.
The online shop specialises in comfort, made to order baked goods. Some of their best sellers come from recipes they grew up with such as butter cake, banana loaves and pineapple tarts to name a few. They also focus on festive gift sets.
“We design our gift sets depending on what we feel people would appreciate rather than the traditional hampers. Our Raya Gift Sets range from RM98-RM388.”

3. Taerte
Taerte was founded in 2018 by a passionate home baker with only one goal in mind – that is to spread happiness one tart at a time.
It started as a home-based bakery selling artisanal sweet tarts and savoury quiche that were well-loved by locals, especially its Lemon Sensation and Signature Chocolate Tart.
In 2021, the team decided to expand their business from operating from a cozy home kitchen to a production house at a local light industrial park.
This Raya, Taerte decided to take local delights and make their own twist of sweet tarts. The Raya Box consists of four new tart flavours curated specially for the season – Onde-Onde Tart, Kurma Caramel Tart, Banana Cheese Tart and Teh C Special Tart!
Those who are interested can also add-on cookies to their Raya Box, and this year will be the Onde-Onde Cookie and Cornflake Nestum. Their Raya Boxes are priced between RM68 and RM108.
4. The Brownie Projekt
The Brownie Projekt located at TT3 Plaza, Jalan Tabuan Tranquility is well known for their super scrumptious brownies.
They have introduced a few new flavours for their brownies in conjunction with the Ramadan month and Hari Raya this year, such as Teh C Blondies, Onde Onde Cheese Brownies and Onde Onde Brownies.
Apart from that, they are baking cookies for this Hari Raya, which is priced at RM110 for three jars! Among the cookies available are French Butter Sable, Caramel Sable, Black Cocoa Sable, Matcha Sable, Cranberry Sable.
