Love Box aims to collect 4,500 gifts

SIBU: The Boys’ Brigade (BB) Central Region is aiming to collect 4,500 gifts through its Love Box project for the state’s central region this year.

Central Region BB Love Box project chairman Lawrence Ling said the gifts, to be collected from the public, would be given to needy families and students.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of BB Love Box project at Farley Supermarket here on Saturday evening, he said the gifts would be in the form of five kilogrammes of rice, two kilogrammes of cooking oil and one kilogramme of salt per family.

He then added that the gift for needy students would be in the form of schoolbags and stationeries.

He said 15 Boys’ Brigade companies throughout the central region including Mukah, Bintangor, Sarikei, Kapit and Song are running the project together.

This is the third year the BB Love Box project has been undertaken, Ling further said.

Sibu MP Oscar Ling, manager of Farley Supermarket Eijing Lau and Sarawak BB Commander of Pastors Reverend Dr Khoo Ho Peng were also present.
