KUALA LUMPUR: A pair of lovebirds have been arrested to assist investigation after a dead newborn baby was found in a trash bin at a housing area in Precinct 18, Putrajaya yesterday.
Police detained the duo both 17, along with the girl’s father, yesterday evening.
Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Seri Mazlan Lazim said the girl was believed to have given birth to the baby girl at about 11.30am on Wednesday when she was in her seventh or eighth month of pregnancy
He said the girl was remanded for four days while her 43-year-old father and the boy were ordered to be in remand for two days from today. – Bernama
