KUALA TERENGGANU: The national cycling squad captain Muhammad Zawawi Azman admitted that he was not fully prepared when he failed to produce an encouraging result on Stage 1 of Le Tour de Langkawi (LTdL) 2023, yesterday.

The 29-year-old rider who finished the race in 100th position out of 128 riders in Stage 1 Kerteh-Kuala Terengganu, said he will soon find his pace in displaying more energetic cycling in the next stage.

“In Stage 1, all the riders are still looking for a position as it has been a long time since we have raced.

“I will continue the fight. Stage 2 is almost similar to Stage 1 where I do not set any targets for LTdL. I will do my best, stage by stage,” he said.

Zawawi is a former Team Sapura Cycling (TSC) rider which was disbanded in June and is now one of the main bets of the national cycling squad at the 27th edition of LTdL.
