MACC wages war on corruption in Kapit

KAPIT: In conjunction with its two-day Engagement and Outreach programme here recently, Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has been distributing pamphlets at Kapit Town Square, Kapit Post Office and Market Teresang on fight against corruption.

Leading the walkabout was Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Sarawak director Dato’ Badrul Shah Bin Norman.

Accompanying him were MACC (Operations) Sarawak deputy director  Zulhairy Bin Zaidel, MACC Sibu branch senior assistant director Jutim Nyagam and several senior MACC officers from Kuching headquarters  and Sibu branch.

Earlier, more than 100 people comprising representatives and heads of various state and federal  government departments  and local community leaders attended the first briefing on corruption with the theme ‘Role Of MACC and Honesty Vs Integrity’ at the Resident’s Office in State Office Complex at Jalan Bleteh here.

It was organised by MACC Sibu branch.

Officiated by Pelagus assemblyman Wilson Nyabong Ijang, the second briefing on corruption was held at Rumah Bengau at  Sungai Sut, Baleh.

It was conducted by MACC (Operations) Sarawak deputy director  Zulhairy Bin Zaidel.
