KUCHING: Some 12 eateries nationwide were recognised for their ‘viral’ and unique Maggi recipes in the Kembara Duniaku MAGGI® SAH Malaysia! travelogue.

These food operators were presented with a MAGGI® SAH plaque in recognition of their Malaysian-endorsed signature Maggie dish.

The MAGGI® SAH Malaysia! is an annual campaign celebrating Mi MAGGI®’s 51-year history with Malaysians.

The campaign reached its culmination via a grand finale and on-ground fiesta celebration as MAGGI®‘s biggest event of the year, held at the Malaysia Tourism Centre (MaTiC) in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday (Oct 20).

It was hosted by MAGGI® ambassadors Sheila Rusly, MAGGI® CukupRasa ambassador Eina Azman, and MAGGI® and Pedas Giler ambassador MK K-Clique.

Nestle (Malaysia) Berhad chief executive officer Juan Aranols noted that the campaign themed “DuniaKu Bersama MAGGI®” celebrated the richness and heritage of MAGGI® creations from home to food outlets.

It paid tribute, he said, to the culinary creativity of warungs, mamak stalls and food trucks nationwide, all of which formed the colourful fabric of the Malaysian lifestyle.

“MAGGI® SAH Malaysia!, into its third year, aims to bring out the best of Malaysian food culture – of eating together and connecting with one another at the local eateries with their favourite MAGGI® dish.

“Many food operators were hard hit during the COVID-19 pandemic, but now with more Malaysians eating out and socialising again as normalcy has resumed, this campaign aims to celebrate their unique and viral Mi MAGGI® creations,” he said during the event.

The viral recipes went on to inspire the other eight finalists through the Resipiku Kreatifku online challenge to bag a total cash prize of RM10,000.

In addition, 12 MAGGI® customers compete for three RM5,000 cash grand prizes in the Resipiku Duniaku challenge.

At the event, honorary plaques were also accorded to the Persatuan Pengusaha Restoran Muslim Malaysia (PRESMA) and Persatuan Pengusaha Restoran India, Malaysia (PRIMAS) in recognition of their contributions and efforts in regulating and revitalising the food operators’ businesses in Malaysia in the new normal, and for their long-standing support for MAGGI® by their members, comprising over 4,500 and 1,500 vendors in PRESMA and PRIMAS, respectively.
