KUCHING: In conjunction with its Responsible Gaming (RG) Week celebration, Magnum Corporation is committed to providing a fun and safe environment that promotes a healthy lifestyle for all their players and stakeholders.
Chief executive officer, Datuk Lawrence Lim Swee Lin said, “Recently, we had achieved a great milestone by being the first and only number forecast operator (NFO) in Malaysia to achieve the level 3 RG certification from the World Lottery Association (WLA).
“We will continue to uphold our RG commitment and lead the industry to discharge best practices in responsible gaming in Malaysia, remember, the bigger play is to play responsibly,”
According to a statement, Lim said Magnum would be holding its annual Responsible Gaming (RG) Week from May 9 to 15, 2022, as part of its annual advocacy campaign to promote healthy and harmonious gaming habits.
He stated that the company was committed to providing training and annual self-assessment practices to all their employees, agencies and operators last year in order to ensure that they were fully aware and informed about responsible gaming.
“Magnum ensures the entire workforce understands the importance of educating and providing all our
players with the most accurate information about Responsible Gaming and the potential harms of
gambling addiction,” Lim added in the press statement.
In order to educate their players, Magnum, he said, distributed and displayed various RG-related materials to all Magnum outlets, websites, social media platforms and online apps.
“This year, Magnum created the Gambling Calculator, which helps players understand their own frequency and spending in the hopes of limiting their plays,” Lim continued.
Magnum is now collaborating with the Gamblers Rehab Centre (GRC) in Kuala Lumpur, which specialises in providing addiction treatment to Malaysian gamblers.
